Jennifer Hoevenaar Mills was born June 23rd 1975 in Orlando, Florida to Ron and Yvonne Hoevenaar. A 1993 graduate of Boone High School, she also attended Dixie Village Christian Academy for elementary and Pine Castle Christian Academy for middle school. Jennifer started playing sports in middle school, where she remembers that she could barely walk and chew
gum at the same time. Jennifer had a special love for basketball and knew she wanted to play in high school.

Jennifer accomplished many things during her athletic career at Boone. As a sophomore Jennifer was the captain of the Lady Braves basketball team and received All County recognition. As a junior at Boone High School, Jennifer contributed 30 points in one game including five 3-pointers to help the team become Metro Conference Champions. Jennifer was named to the Girls’ All County Team as a junior and most valuable player for the Lady Brave’s Basketball team. One of her most memorable games was against Jones High School where hitting crucial free throws resulted in a triple over-time win. Jennifer was also the first winner of the Straight AAA’s Foundation, an organization which honors Orange County’s basketball scholar athletes of the year. Jennifer carried a 3.7 grade-point average and was a member of The Orlando Sentinel’s all-Orange County team her senior year. Jennifer was also named Boone High School’s Female Athlete of the Year her senior year. Jennifer went on to play college ball where she met the love of her life.

Jennifer lives here in Orlando with her husband Kenny (who never hit 30 points in a game) and five children; Mathew (2015 Boone Graduate), Madison (Senior at Boone), Mason (8th grader at Blankner), Maxwell (6th grader at Blankner), and Maddox (6 months). She loves spending time with her family and is so thankful for her wonderful parents, amazing husband and awesome children.
