Jake Campbell was born May 5, 1960 in Columbus, Ohio to Sylvia and Jack Campbell. The Campbell’s moved to Orlando in 1967, where Jake attended Blankner Elementary, Cherokee Jr. High School, and Boone High School where he graduated in 1978.

While at Boone (1976-1978), Jake played football, baseball and basketball.  Even though his passion was basketball, he received his first letter of interest from Auburn University to play football.  As a junior Jake decided to focus on basketball. That year (1977) along with three other junior starters and one senior, Boone won its first ever State High School Boys Basketball Championship, the third consecutive Basketball Championship earned by the Metro Conference. During the Championship run, Jake earned All-Tournament Honors in both Metro Conference and State Tournaments. As a senior Jake and team returned as the number 4 ranked team in the country, reaching the state tournament again, but with two starters injured, the Braves failed to repeat as champions, losing in the final four.

After being recruited by the likes of Arkansas, Ohio State and UMass, Jake decided to stay close to home and played for Seminole C. C.  During his two years at Seminole he earned all Florida Honors, before signing to play with Coastal Carolina.

Jake resides in Denver, Colorado with his wife Pam, (34 years) and daughter Libby. He spends his days selling Commercial Real Estate, but most of his time is spent watching his daughter play basketball for her high school and her elite travel team, where she plays in some of the most competitive tournaments in the country.
